I'm a design engineer for a manufacturer company and use this hardware everywhere! As long as you match the correct press nut for the material thickness used they with great. Be careful of stainless in stainless applications the nuts can come loose.

Best part is you can get stainless steel threads on soft aluminum parts, no worries about stripping out

I haven’t used this style of hardware - do you have to press in the hardware or does it cinch into place once you install the mating fastener?
