Very cool. Did you ever consider combining this with a nesting algorithm? For instance, I could lay out bounding boxes of my tools, and then it recursively calculates the optimal way to pack these in a grid?

Going off the one big bin idea- add a recessed lip on top and mirrored on the bottom for stack-ability. Love how flexible this project is.
