Housing 3D Printed With Soil.
TECLA is a pioneering eco-sustainable housing model entirely 3D printed from local soil.
A collaboration between @mario_cucinella_architects and @3dwasp
Nestled in Massa Lombarda, Italy, TECLA stands as a beacon of eco-sustainability, thanks to research by the SOS - School of Sustainability and the innovative 3D printing technology of WASP.
The circular dwelling merges vernacular construction practices with bioclimatic principles, showcasing nearly zero-emission living while addressing urgent global housing needs.
With its sinuous design and parametrically optimized envelope, TECLA offers a harmonious blend of form and function. Utilizing WASP’s Crane technology, TECLA boasts rapid construction capabilities, delivering independent housing modules in days.

Cool
I don’t think it’s SUSTAINABLE at all for humans to stop working with their HANDS and letting mechanical surrogates do the work. It’s a slippery slope for humanity.
Could Hemp fibers be used in this type of construction? How does is standup under high winds?
Stunning
What’s the life expectancy of such a building?
Wonderful! I would love to take a holiday in such a building with a view to instating one on my land in the uk if it is feasible.
