Comparing the 11” and 6” sander. They both have their place and I couldn’t live without either, but if we’re talking productivity, bigger is better… and faster!

I've seen Cam at Blacktail using the polisher, didn't realise it's a sander as well, I think I'll have to save some coin and get one, it looks fantastic!

I’ve got some big projects ahead of me. And was wondering how I’d do all the sanding. 10.5’ diam round table, 14’ conference table, 10’ table, 3x 6’ tables and 15’ bench. That’s one job. Talking on another too possibly all at same time with my 1-3 employees. Going to have to buy one of these for sure!

I’d be super happy to sell someone my Gem sander for a very fair price. I used it for less than 3-4 hours sanding solid surface. Just don’t use it and have no use for it.

I have a gem and I use it for applying finish. I bought a bunch of 11” sanding discs for it and used it for about 20 min before going back to my Festool. For me the dust shroud/sanding pad and sanding discs were a waste of money and time.

I have 2. They are better for just polishing in my opinion. They lack power, and are cumbersome.. most people in a professional shop would be slowed down by them..stick with the rotex. Just my opinion

Get the newer festool planex. It's the pony way to go on slabs. The handle makes it comfortable to reach over the slab, the sand quality is just as good as their ets ec sander, and the dust control is better than the gem sander
