Houston sandier 😂😂😂. Uhhhh.
It great produces more grass hopper to eat
What does solarize mean?
How would it do in middle Tennessee?!? We are having a heck of a time getting seed to germinate. We have Bermuda grass in the front that is doing well, but I will ultimately want to get rid of it bc I don’t like that it goes dormant in the winter. But that’s future me’s problem. Right now I have to deal with the back yard DISASTER. We have lots of red clay and a somewhat steep grade, so any water runs off before it can really absorb. I was planning to use a liquid aerator for the rest of the summer to hopefully break it up a bit, then do physical core aeration this fall, then spread lime and get a load of top soil delivered and spread that every where just before putting down seed. Thoughts?
Anything like this for the Northeast?
We are trying desperately to grow Sundancer Buffalo grass! It’s been a slow process; it doesn’t grow fast enough to outpace the weeds that will strangle it. The transition from huge patch of dirt and pokey weeds to buffalo grass is not for the faint of heart— and we are in year 2! We took a class offered by our local utility, and they even gave us the grass seed and a timer for our hose system for free, we were even prepared for what a long process it could be and we are still surprised. Still sticking it out tho.
Could we use in ft worth Texas?
Its a bit too flammable for me
We live outside of Austin and just bought a new house - ripping out the sod immediately to replace with Buffalo grass 🙌
What is a grass alternative for south Mississippi? It’s clay soil but extremely wet land.
@crazylykeafox
Sounds like parts of Houston, but not all of it. I lived on the far south , and far north in Houston, and just north of Houston. It seems the more norther part of Houston and past are not so sandy or full of clay, where I have been. Thinking it may be worth trying.
Can and should one grow it in Florida?
