"This is the second iteration of The Doberman Chair. The first chair was a proof of concept on the function of a rotating dovetail in application, while this version takes focus on the complete form of the chair. It is made from sapele and hard maple. It takes inspiration from Sam Maloof and Kobeomsuk Furniture. The joint has been altered slightly to add an extra shoulder to the joint. This was done mainly for aesthetic reasons. The connection from the arms to the backrest has changed from a bridle joint to dovetails. I will continue to refine certain elements as The Doberman Chair makes its way into the future. That journey of refinement is why I pick up my tools in the first place."
