Have you been? It’s my third time visiting Carmel-by-the-Sea and I still cannot get enough of it. Everything is so pretty! Its downtown and the beach are my favorite places to walk out of all California cities.
I was only disappointed in that “Carmel-by-the-Sea’s Fairytale Houses Self-Guided Walking Tour”. There are lots of articles in the internet and even paid self guides… But many of those cottages are residential buildings. You cannot come close to most of them to enjoy the architecture or take close up pictures. If you ever use one of those guides don’t expect much. I’d suggest enjoying walking around downtown instead, it also has many historical buildings that now have shops and restaurants inside 🫶

Love Carmel! One of our favorite things to do is drive around and look for Hobbit houses with the fun roofs. The Tuck box is a great place for breakfast or tea. Such a quaint little town. 🥰
