This VTOL prototype uses 780 3D printed parts!
The Horizon Aircraft Cavorite X5 prototype exceeded expectations during initial hover testing. It is extremely stable, is capable of full hover at only 65 percent power, and has hovered with 20 percent of its fans purposely disabled in order to test system redundancy. This is a large-scale aircraft weighing almost 500 lbs, with a 22-foot wingspan, over 15 feet in length, and capable of speeds over 175 mph.
Horizon Aircraft specializes in hybrid electric VTOL aircrafts and have created a prototype using 780 3D printed parts using the INTAMSYS FUNMAT 410.
When successfully built, Horizon’s vehicle will be used for such applications as Medevac, organ transport, disaster relief, regional cargo and passenger transport, and more.

A smart drone! Getting its power from electrical wires! Where are the batteries? If they ever can makeke it work ang it gets a decent range, it will be used for "defence" purposes. Like dropping bombs, shooting rockets, killing sivilians while the "pilot" sits in an easychair with his coffee.

Was it tested at max calculated gross weight? That'll significantly effect power needed to hover and can it sustain hover IGE at max gross with only 80% of its engine's?
