    Never! Folks don’t understand that those LED light strips are powered by a small transformer which fails and you have to replace all of it…as in the entire light strip!!

    Hard pass. Unless that light strip is insanely easy to access, you’re either going to be experiencing severe discoloration and/or the individual lights will start to fail, especially in a non-ventilated enclosure like that. In three years it’s going to go from that lovely soft white to a really gross green color.

    Next best thing to natural daylight.

    And so much better than pixelated LED light strip that looks cheap. This vid is of high quality LEDs imbedded into the ceiling. Gorgeous modern look! And looks high end and professional. As a senior lighting designer, I approve!

    How is it plugged in??

  • @adam91313 2023-07-03

    Is it in a channel? Would that need to be installed before drywall?

    If you do this make sure it has an aluminum backing on the light strip otherwise you'll have dead LEDs pretty quickly.

    @rachel_m_doyle Show this to Seth!

    Like the Amazon dyi light strip or a legit one

    Yeah but i don’t think there will be a failure on this type of led bc it’s powered by a dc driver hooked to 120 but it looks cheap

    Love this idea! Is it recessed into the ceiling? What is covering it then?
