10-minute egg drop soup that’s better than takeout!
This classic Chinese soup has a light but flavorful chicken broth + silky egg ribbons—always so satisfying! It’s super easy to make so skip the takeout bc we got food at home 😜
INGREDIENTS (4 servings):
4 cups chicken broth
3 eggs, whisked
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp chicken bouillon
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp ground ginger
⅛ tsp white pepper
¼ tsp turmeric (optional)
1 green onion (topping)
½ tsp sesame oil (topping)
2 tbs cornstarch
3 tbs water
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a pot, add chicken broth & seasonings.
2. Taste & adjust seasonings to your liking.
3. Mix cornstarch & water to make a slurry.
4. Pour slurry into broth & stir to thicken.
5. Stir in a circle to create a tornado.
6. Pour in eggs & stir to make silky ribbons.
7. Top w/ sesame oil, green onions, & enjoy!
