In Canada, all engineers wear these rings, called iron rings, from the moment they graduate. The reason why they wear these rings is the first Quebec bridge, which collapsed during construction in 1907, killing 75 construction workers. The reason for the collapse of the bridge was the wrong project design. This ring, symbolizing the steel of the bridge, is given to engineering students at a special ceremony during graduation and they are expected to wear it for life. The purpose of the ring is to briefly remind all engineers of engineering discipline and to tell them that if you don't do your job right, this is what will happen. The aim is not to save the day, but to save the future. What do you think about this ring?

So cool
Allllllll engineers? I don't think so. Lol
This isn’t true lol a little bit of googling and you could’ve found out that it’s a complete myth that the bridge is related to these rings and the rings have existed since before the bridge fell.
@ingi.elshahid @youssbeef
Americans wear an engineering ring too
I just hope I don’t die from a bridge collapse because engineers schools lowered admissions standards based on race and gender.
@liily_bds c’est vrai ???
@jjkkkkaren
I wear my IRON ring proudly. So do both my sisters and my niece. The ring is also to remind you that you should change under different conditions like iron and the roughness of it to remind you that you are not perfect and with wear and time and experience you will become a better engineer.
