One of my students was in contract on a deal for 2 months. The agent called saying he wants to terminate our deal and go with another offer because it pays him more money.. The agent had 0 interest in what is best for the seller and was only concerned about what hes making.

How are you putting a lien on a property as a buyer? Makes no sense whatsoever. Also it would take the seller backing out of the sale before you had any right to sue

Real estate agents aren’t fiduciaries. Rule of thumb is that anyone paid by commission isn’t a fiduciary and doesn’t have to put the client’s interests ahead of their own.

Isn’t negotiating the commission down to 1 percent a good thing? When I sold my homes I used a real estate agent and paid them each 6% and paid thousands of dollars per home in commission. I’d rather pay 1%
