Guns aren’t the problem. The lack of a nuclear family, human connection with our neighbors, mental health and lack of empathy are the problem.

I had a rifle in my van and a knife in my pocket. A lot of boys did. Teachers would borrow my knife to open things. If a boy ever were to bring out a knife in a fight, his friends would beat his ass for being stupid.

Exactly…and you can make all the laws you want but that won’t stop criminals and people with serious mental issues.

In NY we had rifle teams in highschool. 3 position 1/4 course in .22 and air rifle. Schools had ranges in basements.

AND the truck was unlocked and keys were in the ignition.

Hey, I grew up hunting with the boys and cars with their shotguns but we’re talking about automatic weapons. I don’t see a lot of shotguns being used in mass shootings do you? So until we get the cultural mental thing under control, maybe some precautions would be good. I’d like a few restrictions.

And they didn’t lock their doors! Still no shootings or stolen guns

100%!! 👏👏👏 I’m that old too. All of my friends had guns in the racks in their trucks or on the back seats of their cars. We all had pocket knives or knives on belts. My knife was on my keychain and it hung on the outside of my pocket. No shootings, no stabbing, etc. It was the 90s and I guess we just valued human life more than they do now.🤷♀️
