Or: all 18 year olds should volunteer in an animal shelter. If you have to care for dogs and then experience the loss of so many healthy dogs.... you will become a person motivated to make positive change in our world. 💜
I was in the room with my uncle died. He told me to wake him up at a certain time. He said that he was taking a short nap. I went to the store for my mother. When I came back, I didn't go into the bedroom. The time to wake him up wasn't there yet. I stayed in the living room. When the time came, I went into the boys room to wake him up and he was cold. I yelled to mama and told her that Uncle Ray is ice cold and to call 911. We didn't have cellphones back then. She came in, touched his arm and told me to leave and dial 911 myself. She also said to stay out of the room. The paramedics came and immediately transferred him to the hospital where he was immediately pronounced deceased. In my heart I really think that he knew that he was on his last minute of life. That's why he didn't want to be disturbed until a certain time. I still miss you uncle 😢.
Agree!!! I’ve taken care of 2 grandmas now. One with Alzheimer’s in my 20s and the others for 10 years in my 30s. Gives you a complete different perspective most do not have on life and how precious it is but also how you need to have your shit together or someone else will be taking care of you someday! Humbling to say the least.
In college, my professor had a volunteer somewhere for 6 months that would make us feel uncomfortable. I volunteered at Hospice. It was a life-changing experience!
I mean it’s great to say this stuff. But it’s focused in the wrong direction. There’s a veeery slight acknowledgement that the world kind of relies on young people mince words and being afraid and all of that. When they don’t, they are treated as being disrespectful or naïve or entitled, or otherwise compliant. Tell the older generations that their job isn’t to live long enough to be venerated, just hoping to be the boss for a limited amount of time until the world passes them by. Stop running a world based on exploitation (even if benevolently framed).
Excellent Bravo

This isn’t nihilism this is just not holding yourself back
I worked as care assistant in hospitals and nursing homes for 3 years at 18 and that never dawned on me. I never saw myself like that, it’s now dawned on me at almost 40 that if I don’t change my life now then I will end up like that. If I Life is happening either way, be healthy and be happy.
It doesn’t even take all that much but life for sure needs to teach alot of people something.
But did this guy do that or...
Why are there a bunch of these scare tactic videos. What are they actually saying making these videos readily available for people on their social media platforms?

Not this generation. Can’t handle it.
