I turned my head, just a little closer to him, and felt his breath—steady, calm, warm against my cheek. His scent was a mix of something fresh and his cologne, with a note that always made me feel at home. I buried my nose into his neck, inhaling that familiar, comforting aroma, and closed my eyes.
He kissed me on the temple, slow and deliberate, as if this moment was more important than anything else. I felt his arm tighten around me, pulling me closer. His warmth surrounded me, and I let myself relax, knowing that everything was exactly where it should be.
We lay there for what felt like forever, silent, though we didn’t need words. I could hear his heartbeat—steady, even—and felt my fingers lightly brushing against his hand, intertwining with his. This was our language—wordless, just touch, scent, warmth. In moments like this, I understood that happiness wasn’t in grand gestures but in these quiet, simple moments when he was here, next to me…💙🤍
