That mount backer plate is wild. Usually boxes are mounted to studs. Which is adjustable. Cool bracket though too

If someone has general knowledge about electrical and sheetrock/mudding/texture/paint, then maybe they could pull this off. But this method would not work if several contractors were involved on the project. It would be a nightmare.

You’re looking for trouble if you don’t keep that box next to the stud, what’s to keep that box from flexing inward and breaking the seam at the drywall. Other than that looks cool. Looks like it would be a great option.
