In two years I think I’ve only pressed on my brakes 10 times

Simply switch to neutral while driving and it will not regenerate when braking, at least with my Polestar.

This works on every car btw. Friction creates glazing. Over time the glazing is removed with use and your brakes start to squeak. You basically do this procedure to get that glazing back on the rotor. German performance cars get this issue a lot since most of the time they’re driven at 50mph or under with normal braking. Did a similar procedure on a E63 AMG, worked a treat.
