2195 for a 1 bedroom? How is that affordable for someone who is homeless let alone someone working

In California, if you pay an application fee but don’t get the unit then the leasing company (or property owner) legally has to give you a copy of your credit report, since ostensibly this is what the application fee is for.

@agrobbonta @cagovernor can we stop allowing this to happen
@afalfa82025-08-14
And a lot of these are seed restricted for 5-50 years so if they hold out they can eventually turn into market rate housing

If they fix the homeless problem, they don't have jobs and so they don't.
@sna1lg1rl_6662025-08-12
How subsidized are they tho? Cause most homeless ppl have no or very little income, and if they have to apply and get accepted first, and THEN apply for the subsidy and hope that enough of it gets covered to even afford it

How is $2,200 LOW RENT?!? That’s bullshit in of itself.

Check out my book- The Addict. I talk about some of the scams in the treatment industry (as a former owner) that also overlap into the homelessness issue. The pilot program, Voc rehab, SRO certificates, etc. there should be no homeless at all in Los Angeles.

Very cool you can see their company address on Motor ave right there on the site in case you want to pay them a visit, mail them something, or borrow keys (as stated) and squat there.

Whenever you get the government involved there is Fraud, Fraud and Fraud and we pay for it.

Do they collect five applicants for every unit available? Or are you talking about just this one unit? How do you know they are receiving five applications every business day?
@outlaw_carrera2025-08-06
You’re not getting 5 applications per day. Furthermore the section 8 people almost always had bad credit and they know not to waste the $45.
