Hahahahah TARIFFS are PAID buy those AMERICAN WORKERS. Before tariffs NIKE running shoes costed 50$ and now let's say 100$. Vietnamese worker is working 10h per day for 10$ (hypothetically) and during 10h work shift he produces 100 pairs of shoes. How many pairs should american worker produce per day to COMPENSATE for his salary of 10$ PER HOUR???????

But also with free market economy china would not cut the hand that was feeding them. But with tariff you are building us versus them and my family over others ….tribalistic scenario. We humans are doomed to extinction. That logic is logical but not necessary right.

You are too smart and knowledgeable for America. Have a safe and prosperous life!

There's an element of truth in both arguments. Economists work with context. On one hand, a tariff imposed on imported goods generally increases the cost of that good for the importer. This cost is usually passed onto the consumer of that good. This generally plays itself out in the short to medium term. These elevated costs could, however, lead to new entrants to the market who would price their goods lower and take advantage of the environment created by the tariff. This would play itself out in the medium to long-term, provided that, there's appetite to produce those goods domestically. Historically, tariffs were used to protect domestic production but it would seem that the Trump administration is hoping that domestic producers will come in at a lower price. There's also China's retaliation to consider. Tariffs on US products would have a similar effect on goods in the Chinese economy. The real question is whether both countries are willing to reset their trade relationship. US consumers have a huge consumption appetite and are willing to use credit to finance that consumption whereas, Chinese consumers have a conservative approach to consumption with higher savings rate. US depends on China for cheap imports and China depends on the US for its unrivaled consumption. China depends on the US for a stable Dollar as countries are reluctant to accept the Remninbi. The rest is showmanship 🤷🏾‍♂️

This makes no sense. The consumers pays the cost of for a tariff. Company simply pass the cost on the consumer

I heard china like 30 times. You said what??

  • @cityredd 2025-08-21

School time!!!! If we “Americans” are supposed to be the BOSS! And at the top! Why are we trying to work so hard? Let people work for us. While we create other avenues. That’s economy, 101. But most people just follow the news channels. SMH

  • @lynchfrankj 2025-08-20

That is the dumbest explanation of tariffs I have ever heard.😂 😂😂😂 simply ignorant and uninformed

  • @rickmagini 2025-08-17

Tariffs are not bad, they are extremely bad. Let's make this clear american corporations moved manufacturing overseas to generate higher profits. This was done with, and the help of the American government. And then, the Republican governments gave corporations and the very rich massive tax breaks, with the idea of trickle down economy will raise the middle and lower classes. If the USA debt is not fixed in the next 3 to 5 years, you will reach the point of no return. That's when your debt will keep increasing and no amount of "fixing" will save your country. In the meantime, enjoy paying higher prices for everything. You're about to enter into a phase of hyper inflation.

    She’s 100% wrong.

  • @samwin11012025 2025-08-14

You manufacture outside US and make 500% profits. If you manufacture in US you will make no profit.

  • @samwin11012025 2025-08-14
