Well shit. Looks like I need to change glues

  • @amahandymanservicesaz 2025-10-05

I was surprised to see how much weight the top glue held. Did you expect those results, or were you surprised by the ranking?

  • @poppajrizzle1 2025-05-31

Hmmm why did the last one change frame and was different board??? Fake

  • @mcgregor_contracting 2025-05-28

Appreciate you buddy. I have always put a small blob of wood glue in the center of my joints for added long term strength anyway.

I knew the 2p 10 would fail instantly

  • @falcomachineandspeed 2025-05-23

Accelerator just crystallized the CA and makes it weaker.

I love this test. I always found myself wearisome when I glue together door casings and have to tip them under openings. 2p10 was kind of hit or miss if I was in a rush. I’m going to starbond now

  • @deerapples 2025-05-18

I noticed when you were gluing the 2P10 pieces, you repositioned the boards after initial contact…. this greatly reduces the final bond….i have done it many times and usually end up with a weak joint, and a re-do.

If you don't mind. What are you spraying on the glue and what does that action accomplish?

  • @troypitts 2025-05-14

    That’s actually very impressive!!

  • @christensencorbin 2025-05-13

Pulling apart the joint after it touched with the 2p10 disqualifies the results of this. Should have re-cut the joint, and glued it in one contact instead of trying to reposition.

I would like to add Bob & Smith Industry CA glue to the roster please

  • @macron_renos 2025-05-11

Redo the test use the same baseboard the last baseboard had more contact because if was flate baseboard

  • @batch_carpentry 2025-05-10

2p10 was a bad glue up. Should do 3 samples for each. Check out Project Farm channel on youtube

Been successfully using star bar since 2005 and I’ve never received a call back for a joint pop. How many spring clamps do you think you need to do a custom 3000 square-foot home, if you’re doing a glue up?
Batch, making materials doesn’t work on historic homes and often doesn’t work on custom built homes.
