😳 Yes, you read that right!
The secret ingredient hiding in your “natural vanilla” and “natural raspberry” flavorings? Beaver anal gland secretions—also known as castoreum. 😬
Natural flavors may sound harmless, but they’re often anything but. The FDA’s vague definition allows this hidden ingredient to slip through the cracks, without ever showing up on your label. 😤
Let Mira Dessy (The Ingredient Guru) break it down for you. Don’t let these tricky additives sneak into your diet unnoticed! 🚨

It’s Beaver anus juice !!!!
Wow there is a beavers arse I bet that tastes good. Who and why would think this
So I’m taking this to the logical conclusion: somewhere by there are beaver farms so they can express their anal glands?
How did they discover these flavorings in the first place???

Who tried a beavers anus to discover it tastes like strawberry?
😮
I thought vanilla was flavored with vanilla bean. Can't trust anything anymore. It's gross. I'm definitely careful about labels especially the ones that use crushed insects for coloring. Never understood people who eat organ meat like livers. That's pretty gross too
This is a little outdated now; it's far too expensive to use castoreum, especially with how much "natural flavours" are used these days.
