In America, they charging stations would only charge 99% to save some cash

Pass, still don’t want an EV.

This is the sort of thing you expect to see in the background when star wars characters got to the planet surface.

Meanwhile, in real life, any EV that comes into the VW garage where my son works is required to have a service bay either side of it clear as a quarantine zone for even the slightest suspicion of battery issues. Rendering 2 ramps unusable whilst the EV is being diagnosed or fixed. Empty bays mean no money made, so prices go up and wait times longer.

If the ev market made a standard battery for all cars this would work wouldn’t matter about the quality of the battery and range if you can just change at the next station I have always thought about this but as usual they have made the whole thing complicated. Different chargers types an all no standardised solutions.

It's cool but I drive a EV now and just charge at home 95% of the time. 300 miles is a LOT of driving
@fa.em.31942025-05-18
Wrong.

I've been saying this is how it should've been done from day one. The batteries on an EV are the most expensive part. 2nd hand EVs have no value due to the expense to replace the battery.
