The cleats are made of boxwood. I used "Titebond" for gluing. The parts can be easily removed with alcohol.

The details always continue to amaze! Those are some very tiny and impressive boat cleats. The drilled holes in them must have been well under 0.5mm diameter. You make it look easy, but it's anything but that at such a tiny scale. Very impressive!

Quick question, for the z axis/ vertical rail, is that self made, or is it a purchasable part. I have a plan for making a pantograph similar to this, minus the z axis(all plans so far haven’t been rigid enough.
