Packaged Window Heat Pump...
Midea RAC designed this Window Package Heat Pump for high rise buildings in New York City.
Word on the street is tenant spaces in some areas will have a max temp they can be at, just like they have a min temp they must maintain. Essentially, some rented spaces will be forced to provide air conditioning if they don't already.
I think the atmomized condensate is a cool feature.

That’s beautiful. Just like a split unit on a house. You only need the two pipes to feed between the two.
I think these are being recalled due to mold growth within the system
what model is available for horizontal opening windows?
I like there u shape units, they work well
Taking hvac installers job away that’s the only way I see it.
So cool I want one
Really neat!
These are trash check reviews
is it just a single stage compressor? Any variable or multi speed capability? I would like to know the amp draw to compare this to older units for savings if any
Biggest problem. Builders have been installing crank style windows since 2000 and I believe it's to stop people from using window air conditioners. Cuz anyone with crank windows knows they are garbage.
Junk
A Carrier team proposed a window unit but was told it was a bad idea and go back to the lab . The next summer a multitude of apartments in nyc had window units made by a new competitor , I think it was Emerson . I recall reading the story in a history mag a long time ago .
Looks like rain can still get in
What kind of efficiencies will we see with these units?
I wonder how these are on energy bills? Are they similar to the roll around units with the exhaust duct that goes to the window?
