As we rapidly approach a global population of 10 billion, the environmental impact of human activity is transforming these extreme weather events (EWEs) into an immediate and escalating threat to our lives and survival
We have already crossed six of the nine planetary boundaries, indicating that humanity has pushed Earth beyond its safe operating limits
While the dinosaurs were wiped out by natural and unpredictable EWEs, we now face these events with full awareness—knowing they are increasingly fueled by our own actions.
