This is for CA glue. She says a teaspoon of baking soda and a quarter cup of water. That is 10 mL of baking soda and 120 ml of water

  • @xoden 2025-08-27

The thing is that the CA glue is accelerated by the humidity so in theory only water should work also

Not really doubting you, but why the cut after you put the pieces together?

  • @binge818 2025-09-03

    Wtf is CA glue?

  • @huxley_furniture 2025-08-26

This is so good. It's hard to find an accelerator where I live and very $ thankyou for this tip 🙌❤️

  • @plane_speaking_carpentry 2025-08-28

    Nice cut

Great tip. Thanks for the reminder. I've heard this before but then I'm wondering why the real accelerator stinks so much?

Tips: Your glue will need to be Cyanoacrylate based super glue, it won’t work for gorilla glue as it’s a polyurethane, but even the CA version doesn’t work as it’s not as concentrated. What the Baking Soda does is it neutralizes the acidic stabilizer in super glue that’s used to keep it liquid, and cures it instantly.

    👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻

What’s the bicarbonate do? Water works well on its own and just wondering what the advantage is.

  • @habboflanders 2025-08-26

You can rebuild sections of plastics and stuff with adding baking soda straight to super glue, then sand it back after you've made enough layers

  • @dylan_poifiend 2025-08-26

Interesting. What is the recipe for the accelerator? Just backing soda and water?

  • @craftedbydada 2025-08-26

This is great, I can't stand the smell of the commercial ones!

  • @jc.thecarpenter 2025-08-27

Awesome. What glue does it work with?

  • @__d__b__b__ 2025-08-26

    Is that for CA glue?
