The best sounds in the world! After four months of blood, sweat and a few profanities we have a functioning pump!! This bad boy pumps 7500L per day to a tank 1km uphill without any petrol, it pumps just by water pressure. Pile some rock around that thing to reduce turbidity, keep that stream healthy since it’s working so hard for yall
No Petroleum…. Everything it is made out of his petroleum based.🤦♂️🤣
This Ram Pump is no joke! 4 inch drive pipe and 7500L per day. Very nice!
Wow. All the comments about toxins. Its A PROTOTYPE. Do you think it would go into commercial operation using old tyres. And who said anything about this being used for potable water?
7500L now what the hell is a L ?
Tire rubber is actually filled with toxins and carcinogens, this is super cool, but you should look at better options to not pollute the land :)
For some better videos check out Bunyip pumps on YouTube, the guy that makes these pumps has a heap of videos of them and talks about the pumps set up. On his website he has a great run down on how these pumps work on just water, no motor or compressed air.
He has retailers in NZ and the US.

Ram pump?
You say just pumps by water pressure..... except there's 100% an air line connected... sooooo thatd make it powered by AIR pressure..?
Here is it illegal taken water from a Stream for Farming , the Waters , River , Lake , streams are Owned by the STATE OF GERMANY
In many regions of the Swiss Alps, countless of these ram pumps are installed to supply remote summer alpine pastures. (Fix installed in concrete blocs) These supply the cattle watering troughs from a lower-lying source to a tank up to several hundred metres higher up.
This technology is currently being used more and more as, due to global warming, some higher-lying alpine pastures no longer have the same abundant water source as was the case around 50 years ago!
Wait what is this
I’ve never seen one made out of anything but a metal valve with a hinge, the sound of this one is so much better. Very cool
If I heard that in the woods I would be so confused.
If it's stupid and it works it's not stupid
