Countless Disney classics were hand drawn on this original 1940 animation desk designed by Ken Weber for the Burbank studios. It was last used in the late eighties to create episodes of Ducktales for the Disney Afternoon. We were thrilled to find out it has the original drawing disk and pencil sharpener when it arrived from California earlier this week. After giving it a thorough cleaning, we completed it with memorabilia from movies Walt created before opening Disneyland. Can you recognize them all?

Furniture used to have such form and function working together and was built to endure. This is so beautiful and functional for its purpose! 😍
And they just dumped them outside the studio for anyone to grab back in the day. So sad. Glad it's loved
This is a true museum piece 😍 you’re so lucky to have it!!
That’s a classic! I have one of the newer ones from the Florida studio
Omg sooooo cool!!! I would have loved this growing up since I wanted to draw for Disney. My dad built me a table but nothing like this!!! Oh the history !!! And Ducktales?! My fav cartoon !! What a neat piece to have in your home 🥰
I had one of those while at Disney television in the late 90’s. I was told the metal top plating was for them to douse their cigarettes, cause they kept putting them out on the wood.
I met a Disney animator, all the stories he shared of the characters he drew —as a Disney kid, I was in awe. This desk is a dream!!!
I neither a fan nor a hater of Disney, but oh my what a beauty of a desk. Congratulations on your purchase.
A lot of the old Weber furniture at the studio was collected back up some time ago, meticulously refinished and now reside in special areas/ exec offices across the lot to this day. 😎
Okay, this is COOL!!
Wow
That’s incredible!!! So glad you saved it!!!
This is insanely iconic!! To have this piece!! Omg 🏰✨
Can you get the animators drawing pad with the register holes to use on the table?
These Kem Weber pieces are truly stunning. It was fun to sit in one of the original airline chairs on visits to WDA a few years ago
