No, WinSPRLevel (Windows System Performance Rating) is not a fully reliable or modern way to judge whether a laptop is “good” anymore.
    Let’s go deeper 👇
💡 What WinSPRLevel actually tells you
The Windows Experience Index (what WinSPRLevel shows) gives a basic snapshot of your system’s performance:
    CPU processing power
    RAM bandwidth
    GPU graphics capability
    Disk read/write speed
It can be useful for quick diagnostics, especially on older systems (Windows 7–10 era).
    But it doesn’t represent:
Real-world performance (battery efficiency, thermals, throttling)
Modern hardware (e.g., NVMe SSDs, DDR5 RAM, AI accelerators, etc.)
    Software optimization and driver quality
    GPU model or generation differences
⚠️ Why it’s not accurate anymore
Microsoft stopped updating WinSAT — it’s been largely deprecated since Windows 8.1.
Scores are capped at 9.9, even though hardware today (2025) is way beyond that range.
Doesn’t measure actual usage performance (like gaming FPS, compile time, or multitasking responsiveness).
🧭 Better ways to judge if a laptop is “good”
Here’s a more realistic checklist for 2025 laptops:
CategoryWhat to Look ForProcessor (CPU)AMD Ryzen 7 / Intel Core i7 (13th gen or newer)Graphics (GPU)NVIDIA RTX 3050 or higher (for gaming/AI)Memory (RAM)16 GB minimum, 32 GB preferred for heavy tasksStorageNVMe SSD (not SATA), at least 512 GBDisplayIPS or OLED, 100% sRGB, 300+ nits brightnessBattery>70 Wh for good enduranceThermalsDual-fan cooling or vapor chamber (for gaming laptops)
    🧠 Pro Tip
If you still want a quick numerical benchmark, use:
    🔹 Cinebench R23 → CPU performance
    🔹 CrystalDiskMark → Disk speed
    🔹 3DMark / Geekbench 6 → Overall and GPU performance
These reflect modern workloads and architectures much better than WinSAT.

This rating system is the same one used on Windows 7's user experience rating, just updated for modern standards. It is basically useless and actual benchmarking software are much better

Yo so i got my laptop about a year now but recently network adapters suddenly dont exist i tried to reinstall them but now they just dont want to reinstall so what do i do

  • @_s.v_annah_ 2025-09-23

I bought a laptop this year, I mean it should be fast since the RAM capacity and storage were both high. But it glitches whenever I run Adobe programs and makes some funny noise too when the is a notification. I mean, I think i might have to send it back for a check.

    Is 8.3 good??

  • @fatguyrunningvnnin 2025-10-04

Its Get-CimInstance Win32_WinSat. Yours was Get-CimInstance win32_winsta. Possible on the "WinSat" part

  • @_waste_26 2025-10-11

It shows 0 on every line. What does it mean?

  • @str1ng.baf1 2026-01-27

    or just check the specs?

  • @parmesh_0112 2025-10-09

Tbh for laptops rather use Acer.

  • @alex.bufa 2025-09-26

    DAMN I GOT 9.4
