Here is an idea for attaching 4” flexible expandable hose to our CNC machine preventing the hose from slipping down and getting in the way of the CNC. #3dprinted #3dprint #dustcollection

Hhhmmm I think if you want improvements, you need to run that machine a lot and notice if something isn’t working well. The design will let you know what needs changing. 😉

That is a great design Pete.

@petesquared23 your design chops are epic. Where’d you learn 3D design?

Looks great! I've been trying to rig up something similar on my machine

Hmm I have an idea, you could encapsulate a bearing around the clamp. ie just do captured ball bearings. Then have the hook mount to that so you have rotational freedom.

Designing my own shop parts is exactly why I got into 3d printing. Well done!

Good design Pete especially the matching grooves to prevent slipping.

@rockler_woodworking needs to hire you for product design, Pete!

Another outstanding design Pete!

Looks great! One thing I could think is that it looks like it can lead to rather tight bends next to the clamp? Maybe a sort of curved collar that limits the smallest bend radius?

Pete-this is awesome!

😍Clever

Maybe too tight? What if I wanted to rotate it to get it down a bit the spine without using drill?

Great idea! At first I thought it was a union for two hoses... I suppose it could be, or some variant of it if its wide enough to grip and seal both ends.

Niceeee. I was about to say “put a retractable leash on it for allowing it to move” annddd I watched the full vid and you did just that. Far better than the zip ties I’ve got keeping mine in place 😂
