Most caregivers are never shown the right way to lift.
In rural Japan, caregiver Kota Inaba from kuromane-san care facility, created a gentle technique that protects both the helper and the one being helped.
His secret? Leverage, rhythm, and flow—not brute strength.
It keeps backs safe and dignity intact.
Save this if you’ve ever worried about injuries while moving someone you love.

Instead of everyone bitching about how caregivers can’t do if patient is bigger or caregiver themselves are overweight or have bad knees, why can’t we just appreciate what we are seeing for what it is . A great way to help a patient if it works for you to do so
Well done
Not every option will work for each patient. It's the caregivers job to figure out the best option in the situation. This would be stellar for a LOT of situations tho.
My jujitsu coach is going to be so mad when I keep putting people in chairs tomorrow 😂😂❤️ this is awesome!
That’s not gonna work in the USA!😂
Why are we complaining? He is showing how it can be done. If you aren’t able to do it then find a better solution. How old are we 2 years old? 🥴
I’m my husband’s caretaker and I use my thighs a lot for different mechanisms! He’s able to use his neck muscles and legs to work with me, too. We both sort of coordinate with each other. You find your groove!
This is called the Caregiver Sweep in BJJ. 😎😂 But for real, this is really great for families who take take of their elderly parents, grandparents and great grandparents. Even for parents who take care of their disabled children and can't afford hoists. 😍
I was a caregiver with no help no pay for my friend for 8 years and a caregiver with no help no pay for my Mom for 7 years and a caregiver with no help no pay for my MIL for 3 years! 18 years of my life and I got the best life because I loved them all so much! ❤️❤️❤️
I would love to see my dads carers do this. In the UK they do the absolute bare minimum. If this was my dad we would be waiting for an ambulance and trying to make him comfortable & warm. Breaks my heart.
That’s almost what I do every night for bed time, it’s amazing what our needs and body can do ❤️
Omg. Pls practice and train if you wish to aid people.
Going to try this Might take a little practice but looks like the patient is not in any stress
This is AI, I spent an hour trying to do with my boyfriend
Problem is, I'll need help up too 😂
This is really helpful thank you. I have really strong legs. I need to move an older man if he ever gets to the ground.
