One flaw about 3d printing is that you need to perform a lot of process whereas something like moulding or injection moulding is way efficient and can produce finished elements way faster but 3d printing is way cooler

Why go through all that trouble with PLA when you can simply acetone smooth ABS? 🤷🏻 Or ASA. It preserves the surface details better than painting a thick epoxy filler glaze over the surface.
