A massive fire broke out at an abandoned Rodeway Inn motel off I-35 near 32nd Street Saturday evening.
🚒 Austin Fire and EMS rushed to the scene around 6 PM — flames were visible across downtown as thick smoke filled the air.
⚡ The fire caused power outages for over 3,700 customers, though most were restored by 7:30 PM.
🏚️ Officials say no injuries were reported, but the building — vacant for years — was fully engulfed when crews arrived.
