📬 IRS Certified Mail is NOT a Trash Can Item!
If you find a certified letter from the IRS, do NOT throw it away! That letter is your Due Process—your legal right to respond before the government takes action.
Here’s the move:
1.Open the mail. Seriously.
2.Find the Notice ID Number (usually in the top corner).
3.Go to the Taxpayer Advocate Service website and type in that number.
4.It tells you exactly what the letter means and what to do next.
No more being scared! Get informed, follow the instructions, and if you need help, call a qualified tax professional.

The government is not giving ANYONE due process at this point
IRS isn't a government office 🙄!
Can you talk about the fact that paying taxes is voluntary as stated in the tax code
Who is throwing these away? 😂😂😂
If you enter that they know you opened it. Nice try doe
Lmao that’s just confirmation you got the letter, now when they kick yo door in you can’t say I ain’t know….. nigga you put the number in the thing!!!! 🤣.
Send the bill back endorsed and never hear from them again. Verified
How do they know I received the letter unless I signed for it
Seeing how there is no law that requires most Americans to file a tax return you can for your response. literally cross out your corporation all caps name with red marker. Add a return to sender. Then add an unclaimed, wrongfully addressed marks. Put it back in the mail.
Taxes are illegal, thia must be a deep state last ditch attempt to gain money. The irs is closed
Have you been retrained in constitutional law? Hmmm
Don't pay taxes in 3 years get the IRS is going to be abolished.
Those letters don’t come certified mail
It's still a voluntary system. This is whether or not you CHOOSE to play those reindeer games.
Well, you should always open and check the letter anyway whether certified or not. But since certified letter requires a signature, for sure pay attention. If it’s presorted first class postage that usually means it’s part of a mass mailing.
