Let me age myself by saying I was there for the first one. It was organic. It was a blast. It didn’t look like that! When 6th Street was first renovated, my boyfriend and I were dressed up for Halloween. We left a party and decided to go downtown. Lots of people had the same idea. The street wasn’t blocked off but all the pedestrians took over. Cars couldn’t pass. It was so much fun.
