Why are we drawing dots and then x’s after , why not just draw the x on the move
Although I’m most excited for this as a pen and paper game, it occurs to me that you could play this with a chess board and could use checkers (or even pawns) to mark spaces that are no longer accessible.

Problem is one player can never capture the other (they start on the same “color” of the bord, say black, and switch at every turn: in this case only red could capture black but not the opposite), so only one is chasing, the other is running. Maybe to make it fair, if the runner is not captured he wins

Can you move over the poo but just not land on it? Or us the poo spot completely out of play?

This is very similar to a mini chess game that I learned as Radioactive Horse Poo!! Only piece on chess board is one of each colour Knight. They move around the board as they would in a normal game of chess and leave a coloured counter after them (as Horse Poo!) I teach it in school and the kids love it, definitely going to try this variation!!!
Can you do the L shape by 1 then 2 or the other way by 2 then 1
