Ever notice all green eco friendly technology, requires 50 times the manufacturing and rare materials. So its not even green because its literally using tons more of everything, to the point it totally negates any green benefits 🤔

So, still using a refrigerant. Good, I am not out of a job and these units still need electricity. 😂

Not a new idea Xerox corp was developing this years ago with the same materials used in magnetic tape drives

I give it 3 months before the Chinese rips it off and floods the market with cheap knockoffs

I have a mini fridge from my parents old mobile home that was built in the 70’s. I’ve never had to replace any refrigerant and it’s been running steadily since the 70’s. Don’t get me wrong I’m not against new technology, but if they make it with the forced obsolescence that most new appliances have it won’t be better for the planet. Hopefully not, nothing wrong with new technology, as long as it’s used properly

I have a freezer in my garage that’s been running non-stop for 70 years.

And it uses the same amount of electricity as a modern freezer that will break down and get thrown into a landfill after just a handful of years.

    Are they cost effective?

  • @bonzi_buddy_woosh 2025-11-23

"No gas" still uses a phase change refrigerant.
