Owned a Burgmaster #IDL with a Bandit 2 Axis NC Controller on it! This was back in 1989, paid $500…. Did 2 different jobs on it 400 pcs! Made 10x the investment, the never used it again! Bought a CNC Mill!

I ran a much bigger floor mounted version of this machine in 1977 at Ridge Tool company and I was the first guy to use it. My handle was a star and it spun around.

20 yrs ago I almost doubled shop productivity over the new cnc mill with a 4ftx4ft bed by using 6 table top drill presses with a jig that located onto a 1/4" pin directly lined up under the chuck. I located the pin onto each hole needed per size on each drill press with the part locked into the jig and the underside of the jig having 1/4"holes to place the pin into. One of these drill presses would have saved me even more time. I saved the company a shit load of money with zero credit or recognition. I kept my ideas to myself until I moved on.
