NASA proposed this in the 70’s but it wasn’t cost effective. My dad worked on the project feasibility study. https://spaceflighthistory.blogspot.com/2016/12/energy-from-space-department-of.html?m=1

Tesla did it first with the Wardenclyffe Tower.

This is cool tech but we don’t really need to do this to the scale he is talking about. Thermal salt tech can add extra night time power to grids without the massive cost to put these things into orbit. Combine thermal salt tech with geothermal, which we aren’t tapping into enough, and you have many gigs watts of clean nighttime power.

How lovely. Improvements for DEW Systems. Nice going, Commie-Tech!!

What does happen to the energy getting Blocked by your body ? Where and how does the energy gets transfered? People wil get cooked just for Energie some day

That is, to convert high-frequency electromagnetic waves (light) into electromagnetic waves with a frequency 10,000 times lower (radio waves), with an optimistically estimated efficiency of 20%, only to transmit and receive them with an optimistic efficiency of 5%, bearing in mind that the lower their frequency, the more poorly they can be focused.
I propose an alternative approach: to avoid the intermediate conversion into electrical energy and the reduction in frequency altogether, and instead transmit the original electromagnetic waves directly toward the Earth. True, this would amount to inventing the mirror—but at least it works, and it is inexpensive.

👍👍👍WOW, Amazing, newest invention! How much is the efficiency of microwave energy transfered👍👍👍

This will ionise the air and mess up the entire climate. This will create meteorological events that will devastate us. Storms, hurricanes and lightning storms that we never seen before
