A Router Move That’s Straight-Up Genius
This one genuinely impressed me — the router is mounted upside down with the motor fixed in place, instead of the usual setup where the bit sticks up from a table. It gives him great control while keeping the moving parts protected and out of the danger zone. Simple idea, incredibly effective, and a much safer approach for this kind of cut.
Huge thanks to @sudimansalmi for the clip. Brilliant move.

Third world countries??
Different = 3rd world ☺️
Just consider, less you have, the better or more creative ways you find to hone your problem solving skills !!!
Necessity is the mother of invention ❤️
countries like the USA?
Nothing is new under the sun. Pin routers were a real thing. This might be real but if it is either the video is reversed and they did some real magic with bits - this is a climb cut with a conventional router direction and bits. Unless they reversed the router motor and have bits with opposite cutter surfaces this isn’t real
What do you mean “these people”?
Lol jk
Love it, I might have to try this!
Racism in a elegant way !
I studied to be a furniture maker in 1988 and I was using overhead rounders then as part of my course. It’s nothing new.
Looks to me like that router has been added to the video.
I have and still use my 1970’s Black & Decker ‘Routermate” which holds the router like this above my B&D workbench. There’s a few applications this arrangement shines,
Aguante Sudamerica! 🙌
This is probably from the Southern Hemisphere.
Noob here-- what is the advantage of this setup vs a router table?
