Do a comparison of flow rate between the two. I would be curious if the 5 micron instead of the 20 micron would cut flow rate. Even at 20% bigger a finer filter media would be more restrictive and clog sooner. Has anyone tested that before?

I recommend having your oil analyzed, so you get get a better idea of how your engine is doing and life expectancy of your oil from your use.

I use to be a service writer and I always told customers 3500 in gas and 5000 in diesel tops! Every other oil change rotate tires.

Very misleading I change oil every 25000 miles I change filter every 5000 this is on 3 vehicles the lowest mileage one is a 2018 f450 340000 dirty oil does not circulate the engine because of a smaller filter, but less oil does

Ford powerstroke filters are built real poorly..very few pleats compared to baldwin or wix

Just like the wicks three times smaller and three times more than money now That's what touch her motors it's like our soldiers supposed to protected us for a freedom we don't have it now what is up with this now our oils even getting thinner too gas is not right eating up fuel lines and carburetors
