Creating a trust is only the first step. The real work is making sure your assets are actually moved into it.
That means retitling the property. Real estate requires a new deed in the name of the trust or trustee. Bank accounts and investment accounts must also be retitled so the trust becomes the legal owner.
If the asset is not transferred, the trust has no authority over it. This is one of the most common mistakes in estate planning.
A trust only controls what it owns, so proper funding is what makes the plan work.

Can a,RE property b transfered to a Trust?
I tried to get the paperwork for a new deed to my property and was told by the county recorder and the assessor’s office that I would have to get an attorney or try and download a blank deed off the Internet because they don’t have them. The people in these offices are not user-friendly.
Except from what I understand if house in a trust you cannot borrow money from the house or use money earned!
You can put shares from Asset in trust though.
