I built a recording studio in a person's house with it. Its pretty high speed stuff. They sent a skid of it from Canada no problem. I would recommend. Although I did not do drywall directly over it. I did hat track then drywall

When I was first starting out in construction we were turning an unfinished basement into a bedroom suite and the homeowner wanted it to be as soundproof as possible. As we were nearing the end of the project I had the radio on downstairs while I was working and the homeowner took the opportunity to test out the soundproofing. He came down to shut the door to the basement and as he did I turned the volume down. A minute later he opened the door and I turned the volume back up. He had no idea and was very impressed by our soundproofing 😂😅

I did a ceiling for a basement apartment. The floor system was 16” open web trusses filled with blown in insulation, sonopan, resilient channel, 5/8” drywall and can still hear the conversation going on upstairs. It’s obviously dampened, it I thought it would have worked better. Sonopan should also try to create a less dusty product. Screwing to the ceiling was a mess and hard on the eyes and neck skin. 8/10 but I’d do it again

How does it make the sound wet?

Is this a better option than R-Channels? We’re building home with a music studio in a few weeks and I’d love to recommend this to the owners.
