I’ve never seen a folding mechanism quite like this before… and honestly, I’m kind of obsessed with it. One of those pieces that stops you in your tracks and makes you wonder how it was even made.
Might be hanging onto this one for a bit… but stay tuned.

This is the table used by the street vendors in the philippines. This is sold for about $10 - $15. Cool to see this appreciated in another place.
We have these all over Mexico.
Fantastic find! About 10 years ago I bought a very old table with that same folding design. I was so obsessed with it that I had a carpenter recreate 10 more for me. I use them as work tables all over the shop.
I hope yours is a keeper!!
Love the aging on this! I’m a high school woodshop teacher. My student make a stool version of this. Sadly they don’t share the same enthusiasm as you (and I) do! 😂
De-construct it, measure, sell the plans! I’d love to make one.
Someone make these please!!!

I’m really surprised that nobody else made these in middle school! We made these as small little side tables and I had mine up until I was 28.
We have that pattern. We make them all the time
My father in law has made these for years.
I have this in stool form! And no one will buy it.
I’m just imagining eating dinner on that at the sofa and how many sides and beverages I could fit. Even dessert.
You clearly don’t get out much. Check out just about any midwestern craft fair.
I had a portable painter’s table with the same mechanism in a scene shop I worked in and I loved it.
They sell folding aluminum tables like this at Walmart. I've had one for 20 years.
