This video got over 100k views - this is how I made the wooden joint...I first used the DF500 to rout out the mortises, then made a template that would hold two dominos to position a second template for routing out the surrounding wood. In the end I cleaned up the walls with my carving knife and was ready for a satisfying dry fit.
I designed a sofa inspired by Danish mid-century modern furniture and will post about the process of building it as I go along.
Feel free to follow along if you want to see it come to life.

Using the dominos to set the jig 🔥🔥
Well that’s tighter than a bulls ass in fly season!!!!!
I love seeing great ideas like this! Nice one! 💪💪💪
Lovely- no measuring, just offering up a spacial relationship. Can’t wait to see more of your work.
Beautifully done. I’m curious about your setup for the rail. How do you get it so perfect?
😍😍😍😍 nice
You made the legs round and then cut the dominoes? Cool technique. Beautiful work 😍😍😍
Very clever 👏👏👏
Next level move.... brilliant!
Oh my God using the dominos to index the jig is brilliant, I'm stealing that
Would love to see a few photo of the jig/template on tge domino
That's brilliant! I did something similar for a set of coffee tables 10 - 12 years ago. My jig was no where near as slick as this!
Bad ass
I appreciate you showing us. I thought it was all manual hand tools, but it’s just as impressive!🙌
What an exceptional joint
