Fresh-cut limes, raw cane sugar, and cachaça — a sugarcane distillate from Brazil. Together, they create the Caipirinha, Brazil’s signature cocktail. Bright, refreshing, and dangerously easy to drink.
If you’re looking for something simple to make at home, start here:
Spec:
2 oz cachaça
3–4 lime wedges
3 barspoons raw cane sugar
Muddle the limes and sugar to release the oils from the peel, add cachaça, shake with ice, and dump into a glass.
Simple. Refreshing. Timeless.

Cachaça is not rum from Brazil. Rum is made from molasse and cachaça is made from fresh sugarcane juice. Both from sugarcane but from different subproducts
