    It doesn't understand taste, it doesn't understand anything. It emulates the words in recipes. It's a word predictor and nothing more. Hell it doesn't even understand words, all it 'sees' are the embedding vectors. It's a language pretender

    "like it understands language" means it doesn't. it's a probabilistic language. it doesn't "understand" anything; it repeats what's most said on the net;

    IBM did this in 2015 as an example of cool AI (they were the leaders in the space then). The had a website called chef Watson and would find ingredient pairings, it would come up with wild combinations that still worked.
