Y’all in the comments told me to make this the wrong way so I’m doing it just to prove y’all wrong 😤
The Italian Old-Fashioned hit different and I hate that I gotta admit it 🔥
The Recipe:
2 oz Bourbon
½ oz Amaretto (swapped for simple syrup)
2 dashes Walnut Bitters
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Garnish: Orange Peel + Luxardo Cherry 🍒
Build it in a rocks glass over a large ice cube, stir until cold, express the orange peel and drop the cherry in. That’s it.
Sometimes the comments know more than me. I said what I said.

That's more of a Godfather than an old fashioned!
Some of y’all take things way too serious and need to take a few chill pills 😂
Exactly why I started my page: Cocktail building and experimenting is supposed to be fun (not uptight like alot of y’all in these comments).…cheers though 🥃

South African Old Fashioned 🥃
2oz bourbon or rye
¼oz Amarula
¼oz homemade rooibos syrup
2 dashes Angostura
1 dash orange bitters
Pinch smoked sea salt
Stir over ice. Orange peel expressed over the top. Optional charred cinnamon stick.
Rich. Smoky. Slightly wild.
Feels like a winter night after a proper braai.

Wow it kind of reminds me of the Italian margarita. I’ll have to try this. On my way to BevMo now
Put lemon juice and dash of vanilla
Book. Been making old-fashioned like this for years, but I use orange bitters. Need to try this way

The way I like mine is 3oz bourbon (High West), 0.5oz simple syrup, and 3-5 dashes of angostura bitters. Cherry and/or orange for garnish
