Use black buckets. Indirect sunlight can cause algae growth. Place a piece of copper in the bucket to stop algae growth. Don't use tap water. Use distilled water with added nutrients and pH balancer.
What kind of pla is food safe
It will cost more to make them out of 3d that with standard plastic pipes... 3d printed items are so expensive to make and take so much time
The major problem is not the tower..., you need to keep an acid pH level to avoid mold..., it will develop very fast. You also don't want to run water 24/7, you can use simple outlet with fixed intervals to turn it on/off. And last, but not least, it doesn't work with pure water, yiu need special chemicals to mix into it in order to feed the plants. Each plant has its own requirements....
Love the design but can I suggest making the bucket connection piece two parts threaded so it just sits into the bucket top and screws tight from underneath? Seems like it would be stronger and less work 🤷♂️
I meannn or you can just get 4” PVC pipe, a saw, and heat gun 🤷♀️
Also have this version https://www.printables.com/model/991354-hydroponic-tower
You buy the cups so it saves filament and time
Where are files?
What kind of nutrients and light are you thinking?
So...instead of building a vertical planter with actial soil you have pump powered tower that makes noise and guzzles energy...
Oh I printed this one before. This is not a new system. It's been on thingiverse for a long time
Yay, microplastics, now in your local salad 😍
What was that blue colored tool?
