The 100mm V1.1 Invixiball prototype just arrived and it’s gotta be our new favorite.
WHOA. That’s the first thought you have when it’s handed to you. The sheer size and substantial weight of this laser-sintered titanium ball in your palm demands attention. Yet the compelling rhombic lattice of the V1.1 series keeps the titanium ball light enough in hand to tempt you to play with it.
It looks like a piece of art…that you want to immediately slam it into the ground.
And it’s incredibly satisfying when you do! We’ve seen that the metallic tone and coefficient of restitution appear to correlate directly to the diameter as we scale up. So not surprisingly, the 100mm Invixiball exhibits the brightest metallic resonance upon impact and the rebound itself is even more gratifying than previous versions, returning with the least amount of effort.
Time for some “R&D” 😉
